The Viola, still without Gudmundsson, are in an announced lineup, with Beltran behind Kean and Bove as a “tactical” left winger. Compared to the forecasts, the only change in Como is Sala low on the left, with Moreno moved higher. In reality, in possession Fabregas places the Spaniard and Nico Paz more centrally with Cutrone and Fadera aligned further forward, recomposing the 4-2-3-1 only in non-possession, because Fadera scales to the right. The setup doesn't help Como, who never manages to get out onto the flanks when building from the back.

HE MATCH

The first shot is from Lariano, with Fadera who triggers Cutrone (right-footed shot controlled by De Gea) but it is Fiorentina who goes first. Adli and Cataldi take possession of the midfield, never pressured, and with the first lunge the Viola pass: it's the 19th minute, low cross from Bove from the left, Beltran controls in the area and passes it back for Adli who with a sharp and very violent first-time right-footed shot centrally Audero. The disadvantage does not shake Como, who retreats – even too much – on Fiorentina's possession, who often slows down the pace even to the point of stopping the ball. Adli is free to invent as he likes, especially towards the insertions of Dodo, upon whose invitation Kean shoots towards the outside of the net. Como comes back to life at the end of the half: Fadera steals the ball from Gosens on the outside but then neither he nor Cutrone manage to finish closed by the Viola defence, then Nico Paz, the only one with a bit of inventiveness in a midfield of many absent and little precision, bowl for Cutrone who volleys high from the spot.

THE SECOND HALF

Fabregas corrects at the start of the second half. Iovine immediately comes in for Sala and transition to 3-4-2-1, with Iovine and Moreno on the outside, Paz and Fadera (moved to the left) in support of Cutrone. The impulse comes. Como is more penetrating in possession and their newfound dominance produces the best opportunity in the 16th minute, frustrated by a great De Gea: following a free kick from the midfield, the Viola goalkeeper stops Goldaniga and then makes an amazing pass on Barba. Palladino makes up for it: Fiorentina also passes 3-4-2-1 with Ikone and Quarta for Beltran and Colpani, with Sottil already coming on in place of Cataldi. The recovery of control was immediate, certified by the second goal in the 23rd minute: Sottil's lunge and low cross for Kean who turned under the left-footed corner. Ninth goal in the championship for the blue, the seventh in the last 4 games played. Ikone could make it three of a kind shortly afterwards. Cutrone animates the Como final, with a high header and a cross which Belotti – who entered with Romeiro and Verdi – fails to reach. The Gallo smashes wide on the left just before the ninetieth minute, after Kean, Sottil and Ikone have the chance for the third Viola goal. In injury time, Dossena was sent off for a blow to Adli with a far ball.
