Seven days ago, the launch of season 5 saw strong audiences since 5.5 million fans were present in front of their small screen. During the second episode, more than 30% of the public followed the adventures of Astrid (Sara Mortensen) and Raphaëlle (Lola Dewaere). In this new episode broadcast this Friday, the adventures of our favorite heroines take a new turn. Maxime has a recurring nightmare in which he sees a Buddhist monk murdered. Astrid, hearing her nightmare, remembers a similar affair, in 1996 in a monastery not far from Paris. For her part, Raphaëlle receives support from Nico after her miscarriage.
Astrid and Raphaëlle : An argument between Sara Mortensen and Lola Dewaere impossible to film
The success ofAstrid and Raphaëlle can be explained by the complicity of the two actresses, the director of the series is convinced of it. A few days ago, Alexandre de Seguins gave an interview to Allociné to discuss the new intrigues of fiction but also the reasons for its success. The friendship between the two investigators is so strong that an argument between them was impossible. “We have to both tell new things about their friendship, and at the same time we cannot start to tell something else, not respecting the appointment, which is based on the story of friendship between Astrid and Raphaëlle. We tried to work on storylines where they would argue. But it doesn't work. What viewers come for is their friendship. We have now written around forty episodes, that's starting to be a lot.” explained the director.
Astrid and Raphaëlle : The reasons for the success of the series
The ingredients for successAstrid and Raphaëlle therefore reside in the complicity of Sara Mortensen and Lola Dewaere on screen. The viewer can identify with them, both characters being investigators who can make mistakes. “Their friendship has something that is good for viewers and which, therefore, contributes to creating this meeting. The actresses who play them have succeeded in creating this attachment. For the character of Astrid, we want to discover her world and we love learning new things about her”explained Alexandre de Seguins.
