At “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Celebrity Special” throws Ingo Zamperoni off his game when asked about geography. Because none of the celebrities can answer the question correctly, they threaten to cancel.

Cologne – Anyone who sits on the infamous quiz chair in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” not only needs in-depth specialist knowledge, but also a large portion of general knowledge. The VIPs also had to do that at “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Celebrity Special”. Because when Bushido (46), Ingo Zamperoni (50), Cindy from Marzahn (53) and Ralf Schmitz (50) all failed on a geography question, the celebrities left the studio frustrated.

At 500,000 euros question: Does Ingo Zamperoni gamble away on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Celebrity Special”?

After Ralf Schmitz earned 32,000 euros for the RTL telethon, Ingo Zamperoni is the second celebrity to demonstrate his knowledge to Günther Jauch (68). The news anchor confidently answers question after question. But when it comes to the 500,000 euro question, he stalls.

“Which city is located at the northernmost point that the Danube passes on its way to the Black Sea? A: Ulb or B: Ingolstadt or C: Passau or D: Regensburg,” he cannot answer with certainty. He doesn’t know, but he has a feeling for Ingolstadt. Since Ingo Zamperoni still has a joker, he calls his dad, but he isn’t sure either.

“If I fall behind, you have to get it out,” he jokes to Bushido, Cindy from Marzahn and Ralf Schmitz. “No chance. “Look who’s left,” Bushido replies quickly. Ingo Zamperoni is unsure. If he gambles and is wrong, he falls back to 500 euros. “Do I gamble there or do I take the 125,000?”

He gives himself a push and wants to gamble, but then rows back. The risk is then too great for him, so he stops and takes the 125,000 euros. After thunderous applause and words of appreciation from his celebrity colleagues, Ingolstadt is logged in. Before Günther Jauch breaks up, he asks Bushido, Cindy from Marzahn and Ralf Schmitz what they said. All three would have guessed Passau, something different than Zamperoni.

However, the correct answer is Regensburg. So all four celebrities were wrong. “Understood. “Goodbye,” says Cindy frustrated. She and Bushido get up offended, wave and leave the studio. “Stop, stop, stop,” calls Günther Jauch after them. Of course that was just a joke and the two of them come back. “Really unpleasant. Bad,” says Cindy, commenting on the complete misjudgment. “Everything was done right,” says Günther Jauch happily, because even 125,000 euros is a lot of money.

Speaking of which: Günther Jauch, who has been shaping German television since the 80s, talks about his interests and boredom with the media and his views on streaming. Sources used: RTL/Who wants to be a millionaire? Celebrity special 2024
