Winds exceeding 70 km/h are expected this Thursday in Lyon and the municipality has therefore decided to close its parks and gardens, as well as cemeteries. Same decision in Villeurbanne, while the Rhône is placed on orange alert for violent winds.
Storm Caetano arrives in the metropolis of Lyon. While the Rhône is placed on orange alert for violent winds by Météo-France this Thursday, November 21, Lyon and Villeurbanne have decided to close their parks and gardens as well as cemeteries.
Winds of more than 70 km/h expected in Lyon
In the capital of Gaul, winds above 70 km/h are expected this Thursday. The Tête d’Or, Cerisaie, Blandan and Gerland parks are closed from 10 a.m. Same thing for cemeteries “until further notice”.
In Villeurbanne, the same situation applies to the parks and gardens and to the city's two cemeteries. The municipality calls on residents to “be vigilant” in all public spaces.
In addition to these winds, snowfall has already occurred this Thursday morning in Beaujolais and particularly in Chiroubles.
