A dry start to our day, but that won’t be the case forever. Scattered rain arrives by the late morning to early afternoon, which will push out rather quickly. Highs today in the upper 40s with breezy conditions.
Cooler air rushes in tonight, dropping us to around freezing. This will give us the chance to see some snowflakes heading into Thursday morning. The best chance for snowflakes will be after 8pm Wednesday night through the day on Thursday.
Thursday’s highs are expected to be above freezing, so any snowflakes during the morning will go to a mix and then eventually back to rain. Due to daytime temperatures above freezing all week, and a warm ground, any accumulations look light and likely will not stick for very long.
As of now, 1-2″ of slushy accumulation are expected on grassy and elevated surfaces, like your yard, roof, car, and trees. Minimal accumulation is expected on the roads as a result of the warm ground temperatures, however there could be a little slush in spots.
Thursday will not only look a little wintry, it’ll feel cold too! Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 30s, but gusty winds will make us feel like the teens to low 20s at times!
A few showers could linger into Friday, but we will be on a drying trend. Temperatures will also gradually warm as we enter the weekend. Highs will be near 50 by Sunday.
