Discover the latest count of the distribution of seats in the National Assembly for this Tuesday evening

The first projections of the composition of the new National Assembly are now available, compiled by statistician Mamadou Yauck. With 165 seats at stake, preliminary figures indicate a clear dominance of the ruling party, PASTEFwhich ensures the absolute majority with 130 seats.

Here is the provisional distribution of seats according to coalitions and political parties:

• PASTEF : 130 deputies.
• Help Senegal : 16 deputies.
• Peace and Safety : 7 deputies.
• Sam Your Word : 3 deputies.
• Maguette Mané (and Nawlé): 2 deputies.
• Tahirou Sarr (Nationalist): 1 MP.
• Thierno Alassane Sall (Senegal Kese) : 1 deputy.
• Birima Mangara (Rent and Heating) : 1 deputy
• Thioye’s Tafsir (Senegalese Translation): 1 deputy
• Moustapha Diop (AKS, Farlu): 1 deputy
• El Hadji Mansour Sy (Bes du Nak): 1 deputy.

These figures, although unofficial, show a political landscape largely dominated by the Prime Minister’s party Ousmane Sonkowho will thus be able to govern without depending on coalitions. Official results are expected in the coming hours to confirm these trends.
