Météo France has placed Paris and many other departments on yellow alert for “strong wind” and “rain-flood”.
“The winds will strengthen between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., with gusts of up to 85 km/h in showers,” it is indicated.
7 to 10 millimeters in one hour
This afternoon it will be overcast and rainy, with temporarily heavy showers. Rainfall accumulations could reach “7 to 10 millimeters in an hour”.
The municipality reminds the safety instructions during severe weather: in particular to avoid leaving your home, to remain cautious when traveling and not to walk under trees or even not to go down into basements in case intense rains.
The town hall also invites people to “avoid walks in the woods of Boulogne and Vincennes”.
According to Météo France, showers should become rarer in the evening, with the gradual return of dry weather.
