Already targeted by an investigation for “sexual harassment”, the singer Slimane, is the subject of a second investigation, this time for “sexual assault and attempted sexual assault”, as BFMTV learned this Tuesday 19 november.

An investigation has been opened for “sexual assault and attempted sexual assault” against singer Slimane, as BFMTV learned this Tuesday, November 19. The investigations are carried out by the Organized and Specialized Crime Division of the Interdepartmental Directorate of the National Police.

This is therefore a second preliminary investigation targeting the singer. The first, for “sexual harassment”, was opened on November 7 by the Saint-Etienne public prosecutor’s office, following a complaint filed on Monday October 28, 2024.

Advances and “several messages of a sexual nature”

The facts denounced in the first complaint allegedly took place last December on the sidelines of a concert by the artist at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne. According to a source close to the investigation at BFMTV, they took place in two stages: December 17, 2023 – after the Slimane concert -, then on the night of December 17 to 18. It is then the sixth date of the “Cupid Tour”, which started eighteen days earlier.

According to a source close to the investigation at BFMTV, in his complaint, this former technician accuses Slimane in particular of having “pressed him against a wall” and of having asked him for “sexual intercourse”. These facts would have taken place on the evening of December 17, 2023 after Slimane’s concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne.

After refusing his advances, this technician explains having received “several messages of a sexual nature” from the singer. These events would have taken place on the night of December 17 to 18, 2023.

According to a source close to the investigation at BFMTV, this first complainant was heard on Monday, November 18 by investigators as part of the preliminary investigation opened by the Saint-Étienne prosecutor.

A second complainant aged 33, also a technician

The second complaint, filed Monday November 18, was revealed by Le Parisien. This time, it is a complaint for counts of “sexual assault and attempted sexual assault”. This second complainant, aged 33, is also a former technician on Slimane’s tour.

As with the first complainant, the facts allegedly took place on the night of December 17 to 18, 2023 after Slimane’s concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne. At this stage, the first plaintiff’s lawyer has not responded to our requests. The same as for the singer’s entourage.

For “sexual harassment aggravated by the use of a digital or electronic medium”, the penalty incurred is 3 years’ imprisonment and a fine of 45,000 euros.
