Guinguinéo, Nov 18 (APS) – The African Patriots of Senegal party for work, ethics and fraternity (PASTEF, in power) won Sunday’s early legislative elections in the department of Guinguinéo (center), obtaining 16,580 votes. votes, according to the results of the Departmental Votes Census Commission.
The ruling party thus won 52.6% of the valid votes cast, indicates the prefect of Guinguinéo, one of the departments of the Kaolack region.
Pastef is followed by Takku Wallu Senegal, who obtained 9,220 votes, or 29.25% of the votes cast, and the Jàmm Ak Njariñ coalition, which garnered 2,358 favorable ballots, or 7.48% of the votes.
The “La marche des Territoires/And Nawlé” coalition came fourth with 364 votes, or 1.5% of the votes in this department where a seat is to be filled, according to these provisional results.
In total, 58,558 voters are registered on the electoral register in this department where 31,521 voters voted during early legislative elections, for 227 invalid ballots recorded at the outcome of the counting of votes.
The number of valid votes cast amounted to 31,294, representing a participation rate of 53.83%.
