HEARING REPORT – Two former students from -d'Aulne, sentenced by the children's court in December 2023, told the bar of the special assize court how and why they had designated the teacher as the terrorist.

After the principal and the Bois-d'Aulne teachers, it's time for the students. This Monday, November 18, Karim* and Sami* appeared before the special assize court. Both are former students of the Bois-d'Aulne college, in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine (). Both pointed Samuel Paty to the Islamist terrorist Abdoullakh Anzorov, who, armed with this information, then stabbed and decapitated the history and geography professor. Both, like four other ex-college students, were sentenced by the children's court in December 2023, following a hearing behind closed doors. Karim received 2 years in prison, 18 months of which were suspended; Sami, 20 months suspended prison sentence.

Less than a year later, they are back on the stand, this time as witnesses in the trial of eight adults suspected of being involved to varying degrees in the assassination of Samuel Paty. Through their voice, the court plunges back into…
