Michel Polnareff announces his “later tour” in a nod to his cult poster

He will unveil his latest single this Monday noon on the 1 p.m. news on TF1.

White glasses and long bleached hair, here comes Michel Polnareff again: the artist with multiple hits announced on Monday his return, at the age of 80, with a new song, a future album and a next tour.

“Event: My behind tour throughout in 2025 and the Accor Arena on June 14, and new unreleased album on 02/28/25”, is it written on the Instagram account of the interpreter of “We will all go to paradise”. The play on words between last and behind is a reference to his famous cult poster where he showed his buttocks to the public for his concert at the Olympia in 1972. A poster which hit the headlines and led him to court!

He has already announced the release of a new single entitled “Sexcetera”. It will be revealed exclusively in the 1 p.m. news from TF1 Monday, the channel said. This new song will then be available from 2 p.m.

Son new opus will be released on February 28seven years after “Enfin!”, the last original studio album, and three years after “Polnareff chante Polnareff”, composed of covers of his piano-voice repertoire and certified gold with more than 80,000 copies sold.

On the tour side, Polnareff will begin with a date at the Apollo Theater in London at the beginning of April, a first for him, before continuing concerts in Francestarting with the unmissable Printemps de festival. Tickets for the tour are already on sale with 18 dates offered throughout France.

“Michel Polnareff will open the 49th edition of the festival during an event concert which will mark his first visit to Bourges and the start of his “Last tour” in France”wrote the organization of the event on Instagram.

In the musical landscape since 1966 with “La Poupée qui fait non”, Polnareff has left his mark on French song with his style, his voice and his songs hummed by several generations: “Love me, please love me”, “L'Amour avec toi “, “Letter to France”, “Goodbye Marylou” and others.
