With France Bleu Normandie, several agents from the SDSO, a technical service of the national police, assured that they had completely carried out the work on their superior's house, but also walked her dog and even paid part of their bonus to her son. An administrative investigation has been opened.
An administrative investigation has been opened by the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN) of Rennes against the head of the Operational Support Directorate (SDSO) of the Seine-Maritime national police. This service is responsible for real estate, SDSO agents are not police officers. Several of them claim to have worked at her home without being declared to do work in her new house in Saint-Aubin-lès-Elbeuf (Seine-Maritime), from June 2022 to April 2024, reports France Bleu. “We did the plumbing, the electricity, the tiling, everything”tells one of the agents to our colleagues. They were even asked to walk his dog.
But agents, who were promised a recommendation for promotion, sometimes had to purchase equipment for the work they were responsible for, with the broken promise of being reimbursed. The accused owes them nearly 10,000 euros today.
Bonuses paid to his son
The director of the SDSO is also accused of having ordered the agents to pay part of their end-of-year bonus to her son, underlines a report sent to the interdepartmental director of the national police (DIPN). Civil servants received a bonus reserved for them, unlike contract workers, of which the director's son was a member. The latter would have inflated end-of-year bonuses to the maximum, to the tune of 1,000 euros, so that civil servants would pay half of it to contract workers in cash.
The Alliance union judges this behavior “scandalous”in the words of Karim Bennacer, departmental secretary. “We are asking the police officers and rank-and-file civil servants to set an example and here, this department head would have made a serious mistake. We are asking that all light be shed.”
For her part, the director denies the facts with which she is accused through her lawyer, Me Laura Kalfon. According to her, the director “collaborate with the investigating authority in order to establish the truth” et “reserves the right to file a complaint for slanderous denunciation”.
