Last year Mathieu van der Poel was able to win the Flandriencross in Hamme. He had a lead of almost twenty seconds over Michael Vanthourenhout. Eli Iserbyt completed the podium. In the women’s race, Fem van Empel was able to win convincingly again. She quickly took a small lead over the rest and never relinquished it. She crossed the finish line more than a minute ahead of Lucinda Brand. Manon Bakker finished third.
