Chartres : 92
ADA Blois: 91
ADA Blois met in Chartres before the international break this Saturday, November 16. Faced with the red lantern in the Pro B championship, the Blésois bowed.
In this clash of extremes between the co-leader of the championship represented by the ADA and the red lantern, it was the lowest ranked who got the best start. Faced with a messy and clumsy Blésois, the Chartrains gave everything in the first period.
After narrowly winning the first quarter (21-20), they gradually widened the gap in the second. So much so that they returned to the locker room at halftime with a 14-point lead (51-37, 20e).
On the return, ADA is still struggling after the restart, withstanding the attacks of its opponent (73-62, 30e).
As the minutes passed, the Blésois began to make up part of their deficit thanks to long-range shots (75-68, 33e then 79-74, 35e) and we begin to believe in an improbable comeback when the gap is only 4 points (83-79) two minutes from the end.
A new award-winning shot from Sconard brings ADA back to three points but with 29 seconds to go.
On an intentional foul by Chartes, ADA had the ball for the equalizer but a final interception by Chartres sounded the death knell for Blésois' hopes in a tense end to the match, with the two teams almost coming to blows.
