The price of a liter of gasoline will experience a slight contraction from November 16, a source at the National Federation of Owners, Traders and Managers of Service Stations in Morocco (FNPCGS) tells us. A reduction which amounts to 30 cents per liter. On the other hand, the price of diesel will not undergo any change.
According to the latest survey carried out by Le360in downtown Casablanca, a liter of gasoline is priced at 13.37 dirhams and that of diesel at 11.27 dirhams. With the new drop expected this Saturday, November 16, the liter of gasoline will therefore increase to 13.07 dirhams.

According to the Competition Council, during the second quarter of 2024, the market was marked by downward trends in international quotations, purchase costs and transfer prices (and indirectly sales prices) for two fuels, with distinct variation levels. “Operators have passed on almost all of the reductions in purchasing costs to their transfer prices applied at national level.», said the institution chaired by Ahmed Rahhou in its latest report devoted to monitoring the commitments made by fuel distribution companies within the framework of the transactional agreements concluded last year.
Regarding gross margins, the same source underlines that operators achieved gross margins of nearly 1.21 DH/L for diesel and 1.79 DH/L for gasoline in this second quarter of 2024. These levels remain relatively below the averages observed in the first quarter of the year, which amounted to 1.46 DH/L for diesel and 2.07 DH/L for gasoline, a difference of 25 cents and 28 cents respectively.
