Tickets for this match sold out in record time, i.e. in less than 72 hours.
Approximately 50,000 fans appeared on the National Arena, and they offered a beautiful moment when they sang with Irina Baiant “Wake up Romanians”.
However, an unpleasant event, which the Federation wanted to avoid, occurred when the Kosovar anthem was played. A part of the spectators booed the anthem, as revenge for what happened in Pristina.
Also then chanting was heard “Romania, Romania”.
