“We will be in all departments from Monday [18 novembre] for a few days, to make France’s voice heard at the G20 in Brazil.” After the large-scale movement at the start of the year, the president of the National Federation of Farmers' Unions (FNSEA), Arnaud Rousseau, launched a new call on Wednesday for a national mobilization of farmers, in order to“attract the attention of public authorities” and ask for “support”at a time when the industry fears the signing of a free trade agreement between the European Union and the Latin American countries united in Mercosur.
The mobilization, for which Young Farmers are also calling, will be “responsible”without violence, and will stop in mid-December, according to Arnaud Rousseau. Overview of the actions planned for the moment – and those already underway.
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
Farmers have already started to mobilize on Thursday November 14 in several departments of the region, such as Ain and Drôme. Sunday November 17, the organizers of the movement wish to camouflage municipal signs in Ain, Isère and Rhône, according to France Bleu Isère. In Isère, the names of the municipalities should be covered by those of Latin American cities – in reference to Mercosur.
Demonstrations will take place the next day throughout the region, with no blockages planned for the moment. The meeting is given in Albertville in Haute-Savoie, in Bourg-en-Bresse in Ain, in Aurillac and Saint-Flour in Cantal, in Grenoble (symbolically at the end of avenue de l'Europe), and in Issoire, Riom and Thiers in Puy-de-Dôme, report France Bleu Pays de Savoie and the Mountain. Mobilizations are also planned in the center of Puy-en-Velay and in Lyon.
Burgundy-Franche-Comté
No blocking action is planned for the moment, but several actions have been announced in the different departments, reports the local branch of France 3. In Côte-d'Or, the Young Farmers intend to cover the panels of the communes on Sunday, and a demonstration is planned for Monday near the Olympic swimming pool in Dijon.
In Nièvre, the mobilized farmers also want to put up panels at the entrance to communities. The same goes for Yonne, where the protesters also announced their intention to light “hazard lights” in Avallon and Sens. “There will be no formal blockade, but the police may close the roads around the fires,” warned Damien Brayotel, president of the departmental branch of the FNSEA. In Saône-et-Loire, a mobilization will take place in Mâcon, on the Europe roundabout, Monday at 7 p.m.
Brittany
There are no road blockages at the moment, according to the president of the regional branch of the FNSEA, Laëtitia Bouvier. “The four Breton departments will mobilize in different ways since the progress of sowing wheat and winter cereals varies depending on the department. So the mobilization will take place, but in a different way”she explained this Friday on France Bleu Armorique. In Callac, in Côtes-d'Armor, around thirty demonstrators already gathered on Thursday to denounce the proposed free trade agreement with the Mercosur countries.
Center-Val-de-Loire
The first protest actions took place during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, organized by the Rural Coordination: farmers placed coffins in different places in Bourges, in the Cher. “This is only the beginning, the anger is there”declared Geneviève de Brach, president of the regional branch of Rural Coordination, in Republican Berry. Other actions are expected in the coming days.
Corse

Great East
As of Thursday, ahead of the start of the national protest movement, mobilized farmers began to light “fires of anger” in eight places in the Haut-Rhin department, always near roundabouts. “The objective of this peaceful and symbolic action is to make us seen by consumers and the entire population,” explained Maurane Jehl, member of Young Farmers, to France 3 Grand Est. The pyres must be installed again on Friday and Saturday.
Monday, the departmental branch of the FNSEA calls for a gathering of all farmers at the end of the afternoon, at the Nouveau monde roundabout, in the commune of Soultz-Haut-Rhin. A filter barrier will also be set up on the border with Belgium, in the Ardennes, Monday morning at 10 a.m. In Aube, a blocking action will take place in Troyes, on the Europe roundabout, Monday at 6:30 p.m. In the Marne, tractors will converge towards Châlons-en-Champagne, and the first road slowdowns are expected around 2 p.m. Monday.
Hauts-de-France
Here as elsewhere, the mobilization timetable is not “not yet well defined”Simon Ammeux, regional president of the FNSEA for Hauts-de-France, declared on Wednesday in the Voice of the North. “It will be more visual and more symbolic than last winter, however, he assured. There will be no highway blockages. And no parade to the prefecture in Lille with slurry spilling. Not for now, anyway..»
In inland Flanders, near Belgium, Young Farmers could organize the first actions this Sunday.
Ile-de-France
The local sections of the FNSEA and Young Farmers announce that they “will send a message to the President of the Republic as soon as [dimanche] November 17 at the end of the afternoon » on Vélizy-Villacoublay air base 107, in Yvelines. The nature of the mobilization remains uncertain.
Normandie
The FDSEA of Seine-Maritime announced a large-scale demonstration on Monday in Le Havre, where tensions had already been numerous during the agricultural movement last winter. In neighboring Eure, the president of the FDSEA, Amaury Levesque, promised that November would be “lively, with actions throughout the territory, throughout the month”.
New Aquitaine
An interdepartmental demonstration against the free trade agreement with Mercosur should take place next week in Corrèze, according to the Rural Coordination cited on France Bleu Limousin. In Dordogne, the departmental sections of the FNSEA and Young Farmers are planning actions in Périgueux on Monday, note South West. They invite farmers to come “with your tractors from 4 p.m. on the Yves-Guéna roundabout”.
In Deux-Sèvres, mobilized farmers are planning actions from Sunday, then rallies on Monday in Niort and Echiré and a snail operation on Tuesday, according to the New Republic. In the Landes, the Rural Coordination is calling for a rally in front of the Mont-de-Marsan prefecture on Tuesday, anticipates France Bleu Gascogne. Another demonstration will take place the same day in Agen, in Lot-et-Garonne, reports South West.
Occitanie
The precise calendar of mobilizations in the region which saw the birth of the movement last winter remains very uncertain. “It will start slowly with the tearing down of panels on a local scale for example, but not on a large scale for the moment. Not before the end of the month at least, when we will have real blockages in the big cities”explains to the site Toulouse News a representative of the Young Farmers of Haute-Garonne, where demonstrators are expected to meet from Monday.
In Tarn, two large roundabouts in Castres and Albi are already targeted for next Monday and Tuesday. In the Lot, rallies in front of the prefecture and sub-prefectures are planned for Monday in Figeac, Gourdon and Cahors. In Tarn-et-Garonne, actions have already started, with the covering of certain tax centers, notably in Montauban. A large demonstration is also planned in Toulouse for the beginning of December.

Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur
Farmers demonstrated this Friday morning in Bouches-du-Rhône by dumping waste in front of the Tarascon tax center, before walling up the entrance to that of Châteaurenard, Pointe France Bleu Provence. “Since our mobilizations last winter, we have not been heard, we have not had the answers to the questions we asked. We made some small progress, but not much. And so, we are starting to mobilize again this end of the year to move the government,” declared Laurent Israélian, secretary general of the FNSEA of Bouches-du-Rhône. “We start slowly. We are going to increase the pressure quietly, across the four corners of the department. And if we really aren't heard, things will get a little louder in the days and weeks to come.” he warned. The calendar of upcoming events remains unclear.
