Mike Tyson vs. Logan Paul. The 58-year-old former heavyweight world champion against the YouTuber converted to boxing, more than 30 years his junior. The two stars will face off in the ring this Friday, November 15 in Arlington, Texas.
Tyson had time to make 47 fights before the birth of Jake Paul (1997). He even has more title fights to his name (12) than Jake Paul has professional fights recorded in his career (11). For his part, Paul has never been knocked out. His only defeat dates back to 2023 in the judges' decision against Tommy Fury, the little brother of the heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. On the other hand, even if Jake Paul has a good winning percentage in English boxing (9-1), he has mainly been opposed to MMA specialists.
However, Tyson, the youngest heavyweight world champion in boxing history at only 20 years old, has not fought professionally for 24 years. He suffers from recurring sciatica and even developed an ulcer, forcing him to postpone the duel initially scheduled for May. Concerned about the age difference between the two stars, the boxing regulatory authority in Texas decided to relax the rules to make the fight less tedious. The gloves of the two athletes will be thicker, the rounds shorter (2 minutes instead of the usual 3 minutes) and the match limited to eight rounds.
