The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, on Thursday, that the plains of the Atlantic Ocean extending from El Jadida to Essaouira will witness rain, sometimes thundery and locally significant.
Other raindrops or weak rain are also expected in the Atlantic plains north of El Jadida and the West, the Locus, the Tangier region and the western Mediterranean coast.
Low clouds accompanied by local foggy masses will be observed during the morning and night, over the Tadla plains, the phosphate plateaus, as well as in the southern regions.
Other than that, the weather will remain relatively cold over the highlands. This is with dust flying locally in the southeast of the country and the eastern region.
Somewhat strong wind gusts will be recorded in the central plains, the High Atlas highlands, and the eastern region.
As for the minimum temperatures, they will range between 02 and 08 degrees in the Atlas Highlands, and between 11 and 16 degrees in the desert regions, the Souss region and near the coasts, and will be between 07 and 12 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom.
As for the temperatures during the day, they will rise in the north of the eastern region, the countryside, the west, the Atlas and the Souss region, while they will decrease in the rest of the country. As for the sea state, it will be: a little rampage to the Mediterranean front, a little rampage to the Bugaz, and a little rampage to the Atlantic coast.
