The interim public prosecutor of Strasbourg wanted to clarify this Wednesday, November 13, specifying that for the moment, there was no objective link between the violent attack suffered by a homeless person in Strasbourg on October 30 and the man arrested in Toulon on November 12, suspected of murders committed in Lyon, Evry and Dijon.

If a preliminary investigation is in progress, following the violent attack this Saturday, October 30 of a homeless person in Strasbourg, the interim public prosecutor, Alexandre Chevrier, wanted to specify in a press release that he “no objective link exists” with the individual arrested in Toulon this Tuesday, November 12.
Indeed, following the attack on a woman on a train, the police arrested a 32-year-old Cameroonian, subject to an OQTF (obligation to leave French territory). He was quickly suspected of having killed a Moldovan homeless man in Lyon with a cinder block before investigators realized “that he was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by an investigating judge in Evry”Toulon prosecutor Samuel Finielz told AFP.
This warrant targeted an attempted homicide committed on October 23 on the square in front of the Evry-Courcouronnes station, a man having received a concrete block on the face while he was sleeping. The arrested Cameroonian is also suspected of similar attacks in Dijon and Rotterdam.
It is the modus operandi of the attack in Strasbourg, blows to the head with a large stone, which raises questions. Without, once again, any clear link being able to be established with the cases previously cited.
As for the Strasbourg victim, although she was hospitalized with a life-threatening prognosis, her life is no longer in danger. “All investigations are carried outfinally specifies the acting prosecutor of Strasbourg, to determine the circumstances of the facts and establish a relationship with the individual arrested.”
