Hope you’re ready for sweater weather, because it’s here to stay for a while! This week’s temperatures will feel a little frosty, with highs struggling to reach the 40s and 50s, which is about 10-15° below normal.
If you’re heading out tonight, it’s going to be especially cold, with lows around freezing. Wednesday morning is expected to be the chilliest, with temps dipping into the upper 20s and low 30s—time to dig out those hats and gloves!
FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY THURSDAY
Heads up, if you have travel or outdoor plans on Thursday! A strong cold front will move in, bringing widespread rain that’s likely to stick around all day.
We’ve issued a First Alert Weather Day for Thursday. while we aren’t expecting flooding or severe weather, there will be some impacts.
- Soaking rain for the AM/PM commutes
- Reduced visibility and slow-going traffic
- Moderate to heavy rain possible late in the day.
For those near the West Virginia mountains, there’s even a chance of a brief wintry mix in the morning before the rain settles in. By Thursday afternoon, temps will barely hit the 40s, making it the coldest day we’ve had since mid-February!
