The Indian summer seems to be well and truly over. As announced this Monday on our website, the first snowflakes of the season fell on the heights of the department, particularly on the Mézenc massif.
The disturbance currently crossing France in the north – south direction has significantly reduced temperatures and triggered light precipitation. This cooling, which is not unusual for mid-November, is announced for today (the coldest day) and Wednesday.

The sun should return to light up the Altiligrian sky for Thursday and Friday.
Note that this is not the first snowy episode of 2024 in Haute-Loire. In fact, on September 13, the roof of the department was slightly whitewashed. An episode linked to a fresh air mass came from Iceland and Greenland.
