New Sporting coach was presented this Monday
João Pereira is the man chosen to succeed Ruben Amorim, in technical command of Sporting. The new Leonine coach was officially presented this Monday, and spoke his first words as leader of the green and white teams, also leaving a word to Amorim: «It is a pride, a privilege and an honor to be here to be presented as coach of Sporting. I want to thank the president, Hugo Viana and the board, for the trust placed in me to lead the project at this stage.”

«I would like to say a word of thanks to Ruben for everything he did for Portuguese football, but especially for what he achieved for Sporting. Ruben left a legacy and a legacy is not just victories, achievements and records. His legacy is also the unity he managed to create within the Sporting family,” he said.

João Pereira’s debut at the helm of the Leonine team is scheduled for November 22nd, in the Portuguese Cup, against Amarante.
