.1. BARCELONA FALLS IN SAN SEBASTIÁN EIGHT YEARS LATER
Barcelona suffered its second defeat of the season by winning against Real Sociedad in San Sebastián, a friendly venue in recent years for the Barça team. Sheraldo Becker’s goal in the first half ended the bad streak of the San Sebastian team in their field against Barcelona.

.5. ATLÉTICO MADRID, FOUR WINS IN A ROW FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Atlético Madrid won in Son Moix, completing a fantastic week and accumulating, for the first time in the season, four consecutive victories. Diego Pablo Simeone’s team sealed the victory with a goal from Argentine Julián Álvarez, who has seven goals and one assist in eighteen games.
The red and white team, third in the table, adds the victory against Mallorca to those achieved against Paris Saint Germain last Wednesday, against Las Palmas on the previous day and against Vic in the Copa del Rey.
.6. THE OLDEST COACH, PELLEGRINI, AGAINST THE YOUNGER, GIRALDEZ.
The extremes met at the Benito Villamarín. 34 years of distance between the Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, the oldest in the League and in the history of the first division, at 71 years and 55 days, from Betis, and the youngest coach, at 36 years and 260 days, from Celta from Vigo.
The match ended goalless thanks to a goal from Marc Bartra in the last action.
.7. EL VILLARREAL, DOOR TO ZERO.
For the first time this season, Villarreal managed to keep their goal without conceding a goal. They won 3-0 against Alavés at the La Cerámica stadium. Marcelino’s team, fourth in the standings after adding their second consecutive victory, had not left their goal at zero for five months, since May 14 against Girona, in Montilivi.
The victory against Alavés coincided with Dani Parejo’s hundredth victory with Villarreal in the 204 games he has played.
.8. GETAFE ONLY ONE WIN IN THE SEASON; 300 DEFEATS IN THE FIRST
Getafe lost to Girona, who had never won at the Coliseum – one draw and three defeats in the First Division – and reached 300 lost games in the highest category of Spanish football in their 735 games. The Madrid team succumbed to Yangel Herrera’s goal.
Jose Bordalás’ team has only managed to win one game so far this season. It is out of relegation, it marks salvation, due to the seven draws it has accumulated. Only Valencia, with two games still pending, has won only one game as well.

The defeat against Las Palmas at the opening of the thirteenth matchday coincided with the 300 games played by Oscar Trejo with Rayo Vallecano. 127 were in the First Division, 18 in the Cup and the remaining 155 in the Second Division. In addition, Oscar Trejo, the foreigner with the most First Division appearances for the Madrid team, one more than goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski.
