The wait is over: the challenges of the Nitto ATP Finals have officially kicked off in Turin, for a week of great sport and fun. The fields of the Inalpi Arena were inaugurated by the double. The Australian pair, formed by Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson, defeated the Dutch Wesley Koolhof and the Croatian Nikola Mektic in two sets 7-6, 6-3. The first men's singles began at 2pm, which saw the confrontation between the Russian Daniil Medvedev and the American Taylor Fritz, who won 6-4, 6-3.

EYES ON SINNER

But the wait is all for him, Jannik Sinner, who returns to Turin as number 1 in the world. The debut this evening, against the Australian Alex De Minaur, in a completely sold out arena. And it's already Sinner-mania in the city, with long queues in the street waiting for a sighting, billboards displayed under his hotel and waves of orange gadgets. Emotions skyrocketed for the Italian, welcomed like a superhero by the home crowd, in what is undoubtedly a golden period for local . Sensations shared with the other two Italian champions of this edition, Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori. For them, the debut in doubles will be tomorrow, against the Bopanna/Ebden pair.

THE FAN VILLAGE AND ART

A lively atmosphere to experience on the pitch, but not only that: there are many activities designed for the many enthusiasts who have come from all over the world, including athletes, curious people and families. Right in front of the Inalpi Arena, the FAN Village has come to life: an indoor space of almost nine thousand square metres, designed to guarantee relaxation and entertainment, including large screens, food, activities and the music of RTL 1025, the official radio of Nitto ATP Finals. And there is also space for art. Until November 17th, inside the Teatro Ragazzi e Giovani, it will be possible to attend the exhibition “Metacosmo”. A project wanted by the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, in collaboration with Sport and Health. Inside works that reflect on the relationship between cosmos and reality, from'Metaphysical Interior by Giorgio De Chirico, at Fibonacci progressionthe historic led opera by Mario Merz.
