What wasn’t discussed in advance of the DSDS finale? First the farewell to Pietro Lombardi, then the rumors about rapper Bushido, who then even appeared in the DSDS finale. But actually the candidates should be the focus of “Germany is looking for the superstar”.
And so the last DSDS issue of this year’s season was about the four candidates. And so in the end Nissim Mizrahi (61) from Hamburg, Philip Matas (25) from Heidenheim, Tom Mc Conner (23) from Duisburg and Christian Jährig (30) from Reichertshofen decided it among themselves.
Christian Jährig wins “Germany is looking for the superstar” 2024
The winner at the end: Christian Jährig. Shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, RTL notary Jens Fleischhauer announced the result.
Thoroughly deserved. The jury had already praised the 30-year-old throughout the entire final and even promised a career in Las Vegas. And the fans also really freaked out after Christian Jährig brought his songs to the big RTL stage.

“Wonderful. Amazing, brilliantly sung, simply great. “Breathtaking,” exclaimed one fan on Instagram. Another added: “I thought it was great! He deserves the title.” A third praised: “Superstar. Clearly.”
But there was also criticism of the 30-year-old, who was bullied in his childhood because his voice never broke. “The highs really hurt your ears. That wouldn’t go far in America. But he will probably win. Let him have it and make something of it,” it said on Instagram, for example. Or: “People here are almost desperately trying to make it successful. Otherwise you wouldn’t copy an Ayliva song almost exactly. Let him have it anyway.” While another viewer added: “Sorry, hated me for that, I don’t care, but I don’t think he can sing.”
