Paolo Vanoli insists Torino had the ‘right approach’ against Juventus in the Derby della Mole, but admits the injury crisis has left them needing to ‘seek out different situations.’
The Granata went into the match in crisis, losing five of the previous six rounds, and suffered a sixth defeat in seven.
This will hurt more than most, as they showed little fight in the Derby della Mole, losing 2-0 to rivals Juventus thanks to Timothy Weah and Kenan Yildiz goals.
The Granata have not won the Turin Derby since a 2-1 home result in April 2015, managing just five draws and 16 defeats between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Vanoli recognizes Turin trouble
“I really liked the way the team approached this, although obviously right now we are lacking something in attack,” Vanoli told Sky Sport Italia.
“Despite everything that is happening at the moment, we still had the right attitude. Unfortunately, the dynamics of the team have changed, we need to reset and understand the new situation with humility.
“Our first target must be Serie A safety and our real season will only start after the break.”

Much of their current crisis is down to injuries, which saw them missing Che Adams, Duvan Zapata, Zanos Savva, Perr Schuurs and Emirhan Ilkhan.
“Sanabria is the only striker we’ll have for the trip to Monza and hopefully we can get Adams back.”
That situation got even worse this evening, because Ivan Ilic went off with a muscular issue at half-time and then Italy international Samuele Ricci turned his ankle.
“You have to keep your head up and get through these moments. The start of the season was very bright, just as currently the form is negative, but the lads have to always work through it,” insisted Vanoli.
“We are not going through an easy period, it is tough to create attacking situations when you are missing players like Zapata and Adams. We’ve got to seek out different situations and find something more.”
