A yellow warning has been issued for isolated thunderstorms from 8am to 6pm on Sunday.
The Meteorological Department said the precipitation rate would be between 35mm and 55mm per hour, with a possible hailstorm and strong gusts of winds.
Saturday starts off mainly fine with clouds forming in the afternoon and possible showers overnight.
Winds will be a north to northeast gentle to moderate breeze of 3 to 4 Beaufort, turning to a moderate to fresh breeze of 4 to 5 Beaufort in the afternoon and overnight.
The sea will be slight to moderate and later in the day moderate to rough.
Temperatures will reach 25C inland, 26C along the coast and 16C in the highest mountains.
Showers are expected overnight, mainly in the west.

On Sunday, skies will be mostly cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. The phenomena will be intense and prolonged, with hailstones in some areas.
Monday will be cloudy with local showers and isolated thunderstorms. The weather will improve in the afternoon.
Tuesday will also be cloudy with isolated showers, mainly in the mountains.
Temperatures will drop slightly on Sunday and further on Monday. No changes are expected on Tuesday, with temperatures remaining close to or below the average for the season.
