Versailles – FC Sochaux: 1-1
“It’s a good point in the sense that we were able to reverse the trend, a little bit like in Nîmes, but by being much more consistent. Once again, we didn't concede much. We knew very well what Mbemba was going to do and unfortunately we scored a largely avoidable goal. It's a ball that should be easy to release, we procrastinate too much, but mistakes build youth and this will serve as experience for little Elson Mendes. I know he will get back into it quickly…
Regarding the content and the number of occasions, I would have liked more. We still had control of the ball very often, it's still the attack on the surface that we lack, especially since when we did it well, we scored! I'm still happy with the boys' reaction. They weren't afraid after the goal, they put the ball in the middle with the idea of equalizing. This group has character and is starting to release some pleasant things.
Thomas (Fontaine), it was his first start, I didn't want to drown him in effort. We especially missed Dimitri (Liénard) on the reversals of play. But I am happy with Thomas' match, he did what we asked of him and he brought calm after the 1-0.
The fans? They privatized the stadium (smile)! It’s fantastic when it’s like that.”
