On the occasion of the national day against school bullying, several activities were put in place at the Jehan-de-Beauce high school on Thursday in Chartres.
To raise awareness among the educational community of the phenomena of harassment between students, the national anti-bullying day is organized each year in November. This year the event took place on Thursday ( read our Thursday and yesterday editions ).
It is in this context that several events took place within the Jehan-de-Beauce high school on Thursday in Chartres. A stand was notably run by Agathe and Lucie, high school student ambassadors against harassment. Awareness videos, lasting two minutes and offered by different educational establishments, were shown in a loop. Among them, the video produced by the Jehan-de-Beauce high school, during the year 2022-2023, and which received the favorite prize “No to harassment” from the jury of the Orléans-Tours academy .
Words on the wall
Agathe and Lucie raised awareness and encouraged students to become ambassadors and to voluntarily engage in prevention and listening actions. As a team, they were trained on the issue of harassment and carry out prevention interventions in classes. “For now, we’re just girls. We would like some boys to get involved. »
These young people are accompanied by Élise Lemoine, education assistant, and Sophie Bernard, principal education advisor, as part of the flagship group (harassment prevention plan). “Concretely, if we learn of the existence of signs of harassment, we listen to everyone… We also have to convince them to talk about it,” they emphasize.
All day long, harassment was at the heart of the debates, with prevention interventions in classes, books highlighted at the CDI and, on the wall of the cafeteria, words written by high school students to denounce the phenomenon: “ horror, anger, harassing someone is super serious, inhumane, no to harassers, you have to talk about it…”
