Are we heading towards a flawless performance in the Champions League? The four French clubs involved in the league phase have a good chance of avoiding the last twelve places in the single group, synonymous with elimination. According to an Opta model, revealed by The Team there is more than a 60% chance of seeing all French clubs at least in the play-offs.
Monaco and Brest almost qualified
If only eight places ensure a direct ticket to the round of 16, the following sixteen offer a place in the play-off. With 10 points scored, qualification for the play-off is almost assured. In fact, Monegasques and Brestois (10 points, 3rd and 4th) have a 99% chance of seeing at least the play-offs.

Behind them, Losc (7 points, 14th) has a 94% chance of appearing among the first 24, again according to Opta. The last club on the list, Paris-Saint-Germain, is the poor student of this campaign. With only 4 points scored in as many matches, the capital club is only 25th and provisionally eliminated. However, Parisians have, according to Opta, a 67% chance of seeing the next round.
