A bloodied FC Barcelona star Pau Cubarsi showed off his war wounds and stitches with a smile for teammate Gavi following Wednesday’s Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade.

Barca achieved its third straight win on the continent by beating the Serbians 5-2 at the Marakana.

While Jules Kounde notched a hat trick of assists, Robert Lewandowski netted a brace and climbed up the competition’s top scorer ranks to become joint leader with Harry Kane, Viktor Gyorkeres and front line partner Raphinha.

It wasn’t all plain sailing, however, and Culers suffered a scare in the 63rd minute when Cubarsi had to leave the pitch ahead of schedule.

The brave 17-year-old went to clear a ball with his head, which was met by the boot of Uros Spajic for the hosts who was trying to finish off a cross with his right foot.

Cubarsi’s colleagues realized he had a deep wound because the center back began to bleed profusely, resulting in him being brought off and replaced by Sergi Dominguez.

After Barca’s medical staff managed to stop the bleeding, Cubarsi headed to the locker room where Dr. Pruna gave him 10 stitches according to Sports World.

Post-match, Hansi Flick confirmed that the La Masia product is fine, and joked that ‘Cu’ is young enough to be able to have stitches with no real bother as a man the German’s age might experience.

Later on social media, Gavi uploaded a short video of Cubarsi with the caption “my warrior”.

Cubarsi is initially unaware he’s being filmed in the clip, but then turns to the camera once the penny drops to show off a bloodied, scar-ridden face and his stitches with a smile and a thumbs up.

Catalan newspaper Sports World added that the Blaugrana hopes the Spain internaional will be able to play against Real Sociedad in La Liga on Sunday.

In Anoeta, he would most probably partner an Inigo Martinez in the form of his life playing against his former club, and who opened Barca’s five-goal account in Europe midweek.

Recognizing his performance, back-to-back UCL MVP Raphinha sportingly handed Inigo his award for being the Red Star win’s best player.
