It is the Haute Savoie gendarmerie which confirms this.
Good news in Annecy. The third person who had been missing in the Annecy-le-vieux area for two weeks was found safe and sound this morning. She was in Switzerland. This is Michel Revil, a 52-year-old man who had not given any sign of life since October 23 after leaving his family home to go to the dentist.
The man learned of his own call for witnesses
It was the man himself who called his relatives after learning of the call for witnesses concerning him. If the call for witnesses has now been lifted, the investigation continues to find out the exact circumstances of his escapade.
Recall of the 2 other missing people
Since the beginning of October, three men had mysteriously disappeared. Florian C was found in Mont-Veyrier. His body was discovered on Saturday. The identity is now confirmed. The body of Albert M, 89, was found this Monday, November 4. It was around 10 a.m. in the Parc des Glaisins area in Annecy-le-vieux. The causes of his death remain undetermined at this time.
A bag found last week for Albert M
We recall that the man had been missing since October 2. The family even launched an appeal for witnesses to our radio station at the time. Also just last week, the octogenarian’s bag was found. The police then launched an appeal to try to find the person who made this discovery. It is this call for witnesses which made it possible to find his body.
A common perimeter, but no solid lead
These men, with very different profiles, do not seem linked either by their age or by their activities. The missing people did not know each other and apparently did not have any common acquaintances. However, they share a disturbing common point: a restricted area of disappearance around Annecy-le-Vieux and Mont Veyrier. The gendarmerie has set up a dedicated team to coordinate the search.
