In the latest revelations, FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri has shared some candid insights about various issues, including his command of the English language. The young Canarian admits that he is not particularly skilled in the language but attempted to communicate after meeting actor Tom Hiddleston, known for his role as Loki in ‘Thor.’ Unfortunately, the conversation proved challenging, as he understood very little of what the actor said.
Another topic Pedri touched upon is the system of fines in the Barcelona dressing room. These fines, mostly monetary, are imposed based on players’ punctuality. If a player arrives late, they are usually required to pay a hefty fee of €1,000 for every minute of delay, a system that was tightened under coach Xavi Hernández.
In contrast, current manager Hansi Flick has taken a more stringent approach. Those who arrive late are simply omitted from the squad for the next match.
Additionally, Pedri shared his thoughts on some of his teammates and the Spanish national team, specifically highlighting Lamine Yamal, one of the standout talents for both clubs. However, he jokingly noted that Yamal does not quite shine in the realm of video games, particularly in FIFA.
