The attack took place on Monday, around 8 a.m. Four high school students, aged 15 to 17, are in the RER E. As the train arrives at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station, a group of attackers, made up of 8 to 10 people, enters the train and triggers the alarm to immobilize it.

Inside, they beat the targeted teenagers, who are used to sitting in the same place on the RER. The latter were attacked with axes, Opinel-type knives, tear gas canisters and baseball bats.
The 4 high school students were injured in the head, arm and hand. One of them risks losing his little finger. Two of them are seriously injured and are still hospitalized.
The alleged attackers are presented to an investigating judge this Wednesday afternoon, confirms the Melun prosecutor's office, and could be indicted for attempted assassination. The prosecution requested their placement in pre-trial detention.
According to a police source, they are aged 16 and 17. They live in the town of Ozoir-la-Ferrière, where the attack took place, while the victims mainly live in Roissy-en-Brie, a police source told AFP.
The trail of an attack linked to a rivalry between gangs from different neighboring towns is confirmed by the Melun public prosecutor's office.
According to another police source, an attack – probably linked to the facts – occurred Tuesday evening in Pontault-Combault. A 17-year-old teenager, resident of the town and attending school in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, was violently attacked and left with several fractures.
Brawls between rival gangs are regular in Seine-et-Marne, leading to interventions by the police for armed gatherings of dozens of teenagers and young men and violence in meetings, unrelated to drug trafficking.
The phenomenon of brawls between gangs is particularly present in the Ile-de-France region, which has seen several deaths of minors in recent years.
