Republican candidate Donald Trump is on the verge of surpassing the magic figure of 270 electoral votes in the U.S. Presidential Election 2024 and is set to become the president for the second time. At present, Trump is leading with 267 electoral votes, while Democratic nominee Kamala Harris holds 224.
Trump already claimed victory and thanked his supporters. He called it a magnificent victory for the American people. Following the Republican Party’s success, J.D. Vance will become the Vice President of the USA.

For the unversed, Vance has a very close connection to India and especially, the Telugu community. Vance’s wife Usha Chilukuri, is an Indian-origin lady from a Telugu family from Andhra Pradesh. Usha hails from Vadluru village in the Nidadavolu constituency.
Vance and Usha were married in 2014. They met at Yale Law School and have three children. Usha will now become the first Hindu and Telugu Second Lady of the USA.

Even Trump praised both Vance and Usha during his victory speech. He called Vance the next Vice President-elect of the United States and Usha “his (Vance’s) absolutely remarkable and beautiful wife”. Trump called Vance a “feisty guy”.
In Vadluru, residents are overjoyed by Trump’s victory and thrilled that Usha has brought pride to their village. Since morning, they have been offering prayers for his success, and now that it has come true, they are celebrating wholeheartedly.
