The world is currently experiencing a real explosion. After losing in 2020 to Joe Biden, the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, is preparing to be re-elected for a second term. While the polls gave a more than close result against his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris, the 78-year-old politician managed to make the difference despite a new campaign marked by numerous slip-ups. Finally, Melania Trump's husband will become the 47th American president since he wins the famous “swing state” of Wisconsin.

A result which plunges global geopolitics into the unknown, particularly in sensitive areas like Ukraine, knowing the connections between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin and many people seem concerned. Known for being someone who is frank and who does not hide his opinions, Éric Cantona did not take long to react to the news. On his Instagram account, the one who spoke frankly about the problems of his relationship with Rachida Brakni shared a photo which says a lot about his vision of this American presidential election. In his story, the Manchester United legend published a photo (to be found in the slideshow) on which we can see two planes dropping bombs.

Two identical photos except that one reads “Republicans” and on the other “democrats”. If they perform the exact same action of dropping bombs, the plane representing the Democrats is draped in several symbols including the rainbow flag representing the lgbtq+ community, another with the words “Yes she can” and a last one with “Black Lives Matter.” A way for the former sponsor of the Abbé Pierre association to say that, according to him, the coming to power of Republicans or Democrats will not change much to the situation of the world.

Marie Portolano and Camille Lacourt stunned

A reaction very far from other French celebrities, starting with Camille Lacourt. The former swimmer seems very worried by the election of the man nicknamed “The Donald” and who does not mince his words. “So many fools at the head of powerful countries… I'm worried and sadhe blurted. Same story on the side of Marie Portolanowho shared the message written by Raphaël Glucksmann on social networks. “It’s time to show what we are and what we want to be together”writes in particular the companion of Léa Salamé.

Very different reactions from French celebrities to the more than likely arrival of Donald Trump at the head of the United States.
