The man killed four people in two days and could potentially be guilty of other similar crimes.

Between October 27 and 29, 2024, in broad daylight, a suspect sexually assaulted three women near the parking lot of the Écully Grand Ouest shopping center, in the metropolis of Lyon.

He raped a fourth while she was accompanied by her baby in a stroller.

“Strong suspicion of split personality”

Aged around twenty, the man was not previously known to the justice system and could be suffering from a mental disorder.

“There is a strong suspicion of split personality. He seems quite convinced that he is not the person who was arrested. He even gave another identity and another address,” explains his lawyer.

A psychiatric expertise should soon be ordered by the judge, who placed the suspect under investigation for rape and sexual assault on October 31 and did so imprisoned in the Corbas remand center while awaiting his judgment.
