The reality is not a walk in the park, especially on a farm. A “Farmer Looking for a Wife” celebrity is now speaking out about old-age poverty and how she wants to provide for her family.

Namibia – Anna (34) and Gerald (39) Heiser met in 2017 on the RTL dome show “Bauer sucht Frau”. The native Pole moved to Namibia for Gerald and has since then regularly shared insights into her farm life with her around 233,000 followers on Instagram. But the mother of two and emigrant also speaks openly about setbacks and fears, most recently about the issue of poverty in old age. During a visit home to Poland, Heiser reveals that she and her husband have “no retirement provision”.

On the topic of retirement planning, the “Bauer sucht Frau” star explains in an Instagram story that she is currently in Gdansk for an important appointment. Because Heiser decided “to buy an apartment in Poland. Or rather, one large one, which is then divided into three.” But the Heisers don’t want to move into the apartment themselves.

The influencer explains much more that buying an apartment serves as security in old age: “It’s purely an investment because we don’t have any retirement provision. In Namibia you have to protect yourself.” The apartment is an investment property for Heiser and her family and she hopes that she “will be spared from poverty in old age”.

“Bauer sucht Frau” star Anna Heiser lives in Namibia: No return to Europe in sight

It remains unclear whether Heiser also wants to keep a retreat to Europe open by purchasing an apartment in Poland. But at the moment it looks less like that. Last year, when asked whether she could imagine a life in Europe, Heiser explained: “For Gerald, it’s not an option at all. I’ve now gotten used to life in Namibia and feel comfortable here in our ‘farm bubble’, far away from wars.”

However, she does not completely rule out a withdrawal. “If living conditions forced us to do so, I would of course move to Europe,” said Heiser at the time. On the farm, the family repeatedly has to deal with setbacks, most recently, for example, with water shortages. “Bauer sucht Frau” star Anna Heiser also recently questioned her abilities as a mother.
