ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Election Day has finally arrived for voters in the state of Missouri after months of candidates campaigning and weeks of early voting.
KMOX News will have coverage throughout the evening covering the key races in Missouri from the Senate and Gubernatorial races to key ballot initiatives such as Amendment 2, Amendment 3, and Proposition A.
Polls in Missouri will close at 7 p.m. and for those who are in line by 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
Election Coverage on KMOX News begins at 6 p.m. with Megan Lynch and Michael Calhoun, guiding listeners throughout the night.
UPDATE, 7:30 p.m. | Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft joined the KMOX #election2024 coverage during the 7pm hour, with no big election day issues cited.
UPDATE, 7:25 p.m. | St. Charles Director of Elections Kurt Bahr tells KMOX News we can expect the first results to come out of the county around 8 p.m. and anticipates voter turnout be around 75%
UPDATE, 7:22 p.m. | St. Louis County Election Board. Republican Director of Elections tells KMOX News voter turnout in St. Louis County is expected to be 76%.

UPDATE, 7 p.m. | Polls in 16 states, including in Missouri and in D.C. have closed. Reminder: if you are still in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
UPDATE, 6:48 p.m. | CBS News projects former President Donald Trump will win West Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana. CBS News also projects Vice President Kamala Harris will win Vermont.
UPDATE, 6:41 p.m. | KMOX’s Rachel Zimmermann was joined by SLU professor Kelli Jackson and they discussed young voters.
“Younger female voters tend to see more (online) content from the Harris campaign and Democrats, while podcasts and YouTube tend to be where younger men are seeing more Republican content.” said Jackson.
UPDATE, 6:30 p.m. | KMOX Political Analysts John Hancock and Michael Kelley discussed Amendment 3 on Election Coverage on KMOX and Hancock says “I expect Missouri’s Amendment 3 ( #abortion rights) to pass, but I won’t be shocked if it doesn’t.”
UPDATE, 6 p.m. | Polls in six states have closed, including in Georgia, while some polls in Florida and New Hampshire have closed.
UPDATE, 5:14 p.m. |: Polls in some counties in Kentucky and Indiana have began to close.
UPDATE, 4:57 p.m. |: St. Louis County says they have seen almost two-thirds of the county come out to vote as of the 4 p.m. hour.
