More Showers Expected, Not A Washout

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) –

This Morning’s Weather Setup(WAGM)

Good Tuesday morning everyone! After a transition to rain overnight, we are off to a dreary start. The front responsible for this remains parked over the Midwest and that means shower chances look to stick around through the mid week. The silver lining though is that it will provide us with a brief warmup with our temperatures.

Today’s Highs(WAGM)

In fact by this afternoon, we look to reach the mid 50s. Going hour by hour for you, steady rain looks to taper off within the next hour leaving us with a brief return to drier conditions. Following that, a second round of showers looks to come into play right in time for the evening commute. If you plan to head out to the polls after work, you’ll likely need to have the rain jacket and the umbrella with you. All showers come to an end overnight briefly with clouds lingering. This will however work in our favor to trap in some of our daytime heating resulting in temperatures only falling back to the low 50s.

Tomorrow's Highs
Tomorrow’s Highs(WAGM)

With some more sunshine to work with tomorrow afternoon at times, highs will reach the mid 60s. This will be quite warm for this time of year, but unlike late last week, I do not expect us to break or tie any records as the record for tomorrow is in the low 70s. While shower chances look to linger on, most of what we will see will likely be confined towards areas to the far north. This keeps additional rainfall amounts between now and tomorrow very minimal.
