Left free of contract after parting with Al-Tai, Laurentiu Reghecampf found a new commitment.
Laurentiu Reghecampf left Al-Tai six months ago, and since then he has not trained another team. Today, the 49-year-old coach was officially presented at Esperance Tunis. The announcement was made by Tunisians on social networks, the contract being valid until June 2026.
Esperance Tunis is the most successful club in Tunisia with 33 titles, 15 Tunisian Cups and 5 Super Cups. Reghecampf's new team also won the Champions League four times, the last time in 2019.
Laurentiu Reghecampf can no longer coach in Romania
In the fall of 2023, Laurenţiu Reghecampf broke the contract with Craiova University and signed with Al-Tai, from Saudi Arabia. However, neither the Arabs nor Reghecampf paid the termination clause. Mihai Rotaru sought justice at the Commissions and was successful.
Although more than a year has passed since the separation, Laurenţiu Reghecampf has not yet paid the termination clause, and now he has reached the situation where he is no longer allowed to train in Romania.
“I had the opportunity to sign with several teams, but I refused. Not from Romania. I have the case with the University of Craiova, there are some steps I am taking with my lawyer.
I lost the lawsuit that I am playing and I am not allowed to train in Romania until I pay the respective amount to those from Craiova”Laurentiu Reghecampf revealed, according to iamsport.
