Résumé

In 1907, in Central America, Maria, the daughter of an Irish anarchist, was wanted by the English police for having planted bombs. She hides in the caravan of an artist from a traveling hall troupe, also named Maria. The latter offers to replace his partner Janine, who has just committed suicide following a heartbreak.
