Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti does not feel like playing against ex-club Milan: “ must stop”

Following Diego Simeone, Carlo Ancelotti has also spoken out about the natural disasters in Spain. On Tuesday, Real will play against AC Milan at the champions’ ball, but the Italian coach would have preferred to see it differently.

“We are all worried,” Carlo Ancelotti expressed concern about the heavy rains in Spain. There were many journalists present at the press conference – for the Italian it will of course be a special match tomorrow against his ex-club AC Milan. But the tactician did not want to say much about the upcoming match.

“We deeply sympathize with the people in Valencia and all other affected regions. I hope you understand that it is difficult for me to talk about here now. We are also part of this country. Out of respect for all the people affected by the tragedy, I want to keep this as short and concise as possible,” said the trainer of The Royal.

Last weekend, Real did not play against Valencia. The match against Milan will go ahead as usual, although Ancelotti would have preferred to see it differently. “We also see all the images on and read about the events. We are preparing for the match against AC Milan because we are also professionals and of course we want to win, but football should actually be a party for everyone. “When people are in trouble, there is nothing to celebrate. Football has to stop. For now, football is secondary.”

No Courtois yet

Thibaut Courtois was back on the training field in recent days, but he is not yet match fit. Our compatriot is missing from Real’s selection.
