These are turbulent times at Arsenal. After disappointing results in the Premier League and the departure of sporting director Edu, major changes appear to be afoot at the club. Leandro Trossard could be one of the players to leave the club.
Trossard has been playing for Arsenal since January 2023 and has usually been a titular coach under Mikel Arteta this season. Due to Ødegaard’s injury, Trossard is regularly used as a false nine or in the ten, positions that are not his specialty. So far he has scored two goals and one assist in thirteen games.
Al-Ittihad offers 50 million euros
According to The Mirror Trossard can count on a striking transfer offer in the near future. Al-Ittihad, the Saudi club where stars such as Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté also play, would be willing to offer 50 million euros to bring in Trossard. The club tried to rent him in the summer, but failed. However, with an offer of this magnitude, Arsenal could be interested in letting the 29-year-old go, especially given his age and the year and a half remaining on his contract.
Arsenal are already thinking about a replacement
If Trossard leaves, Arsenal already have a replacement in mind. The club is said to be interested in Mohammed Kudus, the Ghanaian striker who is currently impressing at West Ham United. Arsenal have been following Kudus since his time at Ajax, but the price for the Ghanaian international is likely to exceed €100 million.
