The love life of Ruben Van Gucht is widely discussed in the media. In the VRT1 program ‘Het Huis’ he admits that in addition to Blanka, he also has a relationship in Belgium. “I want everyone to have their own type of relationship,” Het Laatste Nieuws quotes him as saying.
“What kind of relationship am I in? I don’t like to put a label on that, because it is my life. And only those involved deserve an explanation.”
“But I indeed have a life in Belgium and one in Croatia. Also relational. I don’t bother anyone with that. I don’t commit criminal acts.”
“There is always open communication about this. So no one has to worry about who is involved and ‘whether they won’t know’. None of that is an issue.”
According to Ruben, his wife Blanka has no problem with that. “If it really bothered her, she could have already asked not to come to Split anymore. But that is not the case.”
“We have established the principle. And the details? We don’t have to share that. They only cause pain anyway. That doesn’t benefit anyone.”
“It has also happened that Blanka had someone else in Croatia. That’s okay. If you agree on that, you have to comply with it.”
