It showed an activist from the Union of Jewish Students of (UEJF) lying on the ground screaming and shouting: “Don’t hit me!” “. However, in the images, no one touches him. Around him, people chant: “Palestine will live, Palestine will win!” “. Instead of getting up, the man, who turned out to be Kévin Cohen, elected from the municipal majority of (Seine-Saint-Denis), slid to the ground towards a small group. The latter then grabs him by the legs and collar to evacuate him. The chosen one yells: “I’m being hit!” “. We hear a voice say: “We’re not hitting you! “.

The scene took place on October 6 at the restaurant Le Relais de Pantin during a conference called “Attacks of October 7, 2023, the day before” organized by the Urgence Palestine collective and the Words of Honor media dedicated to “the voice of neighborhoods and postcolonial immigration”. It was during the first debate entitled “From May 14, 1948 to October 6, 2023: Israel, a colonial fact, Palestine an occupied land, a people in exile” that Kévin Cohen and his comrades from the UEJF intervened.
