The shooting caused panic among those who witnessed the scene, mainly people waiting to enter the nightclub where a Halloween party bringing together around 800 people was taking place.
A very serious head injury
Three young people were hit by the shots, one of them seriously, a 22-year-old young man who was shot in the head. The account given by a witness to Dauphiné Libéré suggested a very serious injury. He was transported by emergency services to Valencia hospital in a state of absolute emergency and with a life-threatening condition.
Two other people were more lightly injured, a 24-year-old young woman hit in the leg, and another 22-year-old young man, a security guard, hit by fragments of 9 mm caliber bullets.
According to France Info, repeating a statement from the Privas prosecutor's office, the young man injured in the head died this Saturday, November 2 as a result of his injuries. Originally from Romans, he was a player at the Romans-Péage Rugby club, who shared his pain on social networks.
For the record, it was within the same rugby club that Thomas, 16, played, a high school student killed by a stab during a brawl after a village ball in Crépol in the Drôme.
An 18-year-old young man killed the next day in Valencia
This shooting is believed to be linked to drug trafficking, according to investigators. The suspect is still actively sought.
The day after the tragedy, Friday November 1 around 4:30 p.m., an 18-year-old young man was shot dead with a burst of bullets on the public highway by a shooter who arrived on a scooter and wearing a health mask. The emergency services could only note the death. According to Le Monde, the two cases could be linked.
