Liverpool have been handed another injury concern after Ibrahima Konate was forced off in the Premier League meeting with Brighton at Anfield.
The Reds trailed 1-0 at the break thanks to Ferdi Kadioglu’s effort and their attempts to restore parity at the end of a sloppy 45 minutes at home saw Konate take a tumble when rising at a corner.
The half-time whistle then sounded and Konate was forced off. He looked to be in some discomfort as he held his left shoulder, aided by the help of physio Chris Morgan.

The France international made his Liverpool shirt into a makeshift sling as he grimaced throughout his exit down the players’ tunnel. Konate was replaced by Joe Gomez for the second half and will now be considered an early doubt for Tuesday’s visit from Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
Head coach Arne Slot will be able to offer a more considered update on the problem at full time. The Reds are already without the hamstrung Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott, who is still suffering from a foot fracture picked up on England Under-21 duty in September. Federico Chiesa, meanwhile, is still adjusting to the intensity of English football, having not had a pre-season at Juventus before his late-August move. Diogo Jota is also out with an upper body injury.
