Fabian Hurzeler hopes to welcome back João Pedro and Matt O’Riley to his Brighton squad for the visit to Merseyside.
However, assessments will be made on the fitness of captain Lewis Dunk and Ferdi Kadiogluwho came off at half-time in the midweek meeting.
“We have to see how Lewis is,” Hurzeler told reporters. “Matt O’Riley is back in training and he will be ready [to be] a potential player in the squad. Also Joao Pedro will be back. Some players will be back on the pitch.
“And I think with Ferdi it’s not that bad, so hopefully he will also be an option for Saturday.”
On Joao Pedro, who has been sidelined for the last six weeks, the Seagulls head coach added: “We have to see how he’s coming back after a long injury if he will be an option. But he’s back in training.”
Yankuba Minteh was not part of their matchday squad on Wednesday, along with expected absentees Solly March, James Milner and Adam Webster.
